Rosina Samadani, Ph.D., President and Founder

Dr. Samadani has twelve years consulting experience, including seven years experience with McKinsey & Company, where she was a leader in the healthcare practice, serving pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, physician services, and payer companies. She has worked on all aspects of strategy from clinical development to lifecycle management. She was the firm expert on scenario analysis/role-playing (war-gaming), patient flow analysis, e-health, and pharmaceutical pricing and managed care. She has her BS from MIT in Mechanical Engineering, her MS from the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Program in Mechanical Engineering, and her Ph.D. from Northwestern University in Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Samadani was a National Science Foundation Fellow and a Helen Bernstein Health Sciences and Technology Fellow.
Dr. Samadani serves on the Board of Trustees for Wayland Academy and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations Roundtable.

Tom Olds, MBA, Associate Principal

Mr. Olds has eight years consulting experience, including three years with McKinsey & Company. His project work spans acquisition valuation, company growth strategy, customer segmentation, forecasting, disease management and performance improvement. Previously, Mr. Olds served as Vice President, Strategy at AXA Financial and as an independent consultant to medical record and electronic companies. Mr. Olds holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the University of Toronto.

Jamie Wall, MPhil, Associate Principal

Mr. Wall has seven years of consulting experience, including two years with McKinsey & Company. He has worked on strategic planning, competitive clinical trial overviews, landscape analysis, new product and company acquisition assessment, therapeutic area assessment, co-positioning, war-gaming exercises, and developing industry pipeline overviews. Most recently, he has directed the State of Wisconsins economic development programs, working closely with a number of biotech start-ups. He has an M.Phil. from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.

Rachael Hartman, MD, MBA, Project Manager and MD Consultant to teams

Dr. Hartman is an MD-MBA with three years of consulting experience including two with McKinsey & Company. Her focus has been exclusively on healthcare clients and her project work spans physician segmentation, post-merger management, international M&A, and operations strategy. She has also worked as a Summer Associate in Biotechnology Equity Research at Goldman Sachs and as a Summer Intern in Commercial Operations at Genentech. Dr. Hartman has her BA from the University of Pennsylvania in the Biological Basis of Behavior (Neuroscience), her MBA from Harvard Business School, and her MD from Columbia University.

Alberto Martin, Ph.D., Project Manager and Immunology expert consultant to teams

Dr. Martin holds a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Toronto, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. He has over two dozen publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has provided his expertise to medical device and biotech companies on product and technology assessments on a consultant basis for one year.

Zvetanka Karadgiov, MBA, Project Manager

Ms. Karadgiov is an MBA with over twelve years consulting experience, including eight with Booz Allen where she was a Principal. Her project work includes due diligence of product and company opportunities for potential acquisition, competitive landscape assessment, pricing and access strategy, long term strategic development, supply chain management and strategic sourcing, cost reduction initiatives, co-positioning and war-gaming for pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Ms. Karadgiov holds a BA from the University of Venice, Italy, and an MBA from Northwestern Universitys Kellogg School.

Ms. Neilson has over seven years of consulting experience in the healthcare and financial services industries, serving medical device, pharmaceutical, medical services, private equity and turnaround management companies. She has experience with projects in growth strategy, competitive landscape analysis, brand development/positioning, market planning, disease area strategy, and acquisition due diligence and integration. She has extensive experience with physician qualitative and quantitative market research. She holds a BA from Harvard College and has completed the advanced studies program in international politics and economics at Cambridge University.
